Yes there is - There are 8 Sage Stones (one per region) in Gemea. As you unlock these stones, you will be able to fast travel around the world. There's also Travelers Knot's; items you can craft to instantly return to any of your farms.

The story of Yonder is very much focused on you, the player. Your journey to remove the murk, revitalise the land, repair the Cloud Catcher, and learn more about yourself and why you are the only person who can see the sprites.

If you complete ONLY the main story, you can complete Yonder in around 6 - 8 hours.
However, if you only complete the main story, you will miss out on a lot of the other fun activities in Yonder. Fishing, crafting, brewing, setting up fireworks displays, helping out the locals, and discovering all of the secrets of Gemea.
